Project Warm’s annual Blitz! weatherization service project recruits and trains volunteer teams who install plastic on windows in the homes of Jefferson County residents who are 60 years and older or physically challenged. Every year since 1991, more than 300 households are helped to prepare for the winter by 600 volunteers from businesses, schools, religious and community organizations on two Saturdays in November. Project Warms offers this service and volunteer opportunity through February of each year.
This year's Blitz will be our 27th annual held on two Saturdays, November 4 and 11, 2017. It's a lot of work and a lot of fun! There are more opportunities to volunteer throughout the winter season helping people stay warmer. If you or someone you know is interested contact Project Warm at 502-636-9276 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
